IO, the greek goddess of input and output

The sample images below were produced by running the GF2GIFs program on the file io.2602gf, which in turn was produced by running METAFONT on the file io.mf as described in Chapter 5 of Donald Knuth's METAFONTbook.

These images compare quite nicely to the kinds of hardcopy proofs produced by GFtoDVI, and they use fewer trees. (Of course, we don't get the nice labels and annotations that come along with the proofs produced by that program, and we have also lost any indication of the font metric information supplied by the character locator commands of the original GF file.)
